2010:
I am currently on a long distance cycle trip from New Zealand
to England with my partner Liz Wilton. Whilst away we hope to
raise
£20,000 to build a school in Southeast Asia. For more info visit our
website www.bikeabout.co.uk
2008/09: John O’Groats to Lands End. 1100 miles cycled. www.littlebiketrip.co.uk
2005: Spent 13 months working, travelling, climbing and skiing, around New Zealand
2004: One month sailing around in the South Pacific around French Poloynesia and the Cook Islands
2003: Cycling in France. The aim of the trip was to cycle from Dieppe in France to the Picos De Euopa in Spain. Unfortunately my bike frame snapped and I was unable to replace it so I completed the journey on bus and train. Then spent two weeks in the Picos completing two research modules for part of my degree.
2000: Peru 5 months. The first half of this trip I spend in the Amazon rain forest doing a conservation project at in the Tambopata National Reserve. The project started a species diversity study of the animals in and around Lake Sandoval and improved some of the rainforest pathways used by the lodge.
The second half of the trip I spent backpacking around the south of Peru and one week in Bolivia. The best parts of this were an unsupported trip to Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail and the summit of Chachani (6,075 metres), El Misti (5,822 m) and Nevado Mismi (5,597 m).
1995: Kenya. This was a family holiday with one real aim to climb Mt Kenya to Pt Lenana (4985 m). It was my first big mountain and I was 13.
